EDWARDS ANGELL PALMER & DODGE RECEPTION -- Thursday, April 3, 2008 (RSVP Deadline: March 28, 2008)

Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge would like to invite students to a reception in their Boston office, located at 111 Huntington Avenue, on Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 5:30 - 7:30pm.

The evening will afford students an opportunity to meet and interact with some of the firm's leaders, including members of their hiring and diversity committees, and to hear a special presentation by Judge Reginald C. Lindsay of the U.S. Federal District Court in Boston. Please note judges are not permitted to discuss pending cases.

Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge hopes and expects to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the firm's mission and values, and to encourage students to apply for summer associate positions at one of their seven offices expected to hire law students in 2009, in order to get to know them.

If interested in going to this event, please contact Charlene Kwan (kwancc[at]bc.edu) no later than March 28, 2008, so we can inform EAPD about our anticipated attendance.

ASIAN INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING PROJECT (three spots reserved for BCLS students) -- (Deadline: April 7, 2008)

Have you ever dreamed of climbing the Great Wall of China? How about consulting to a Chinese firm in Beijing? Prof. Greg Stoller is in the process of planning the 2008 International Consulting Project, a 3-credit course that involves consulting work during the fall semester on campus, with a trip to Beijing in January/2009 to deliver the team's recommendation personally to the client, at their offices. This is the 6th year in a row that this program has been offered. Attached please find a course description and power point slides from the info session. We are looking for 18 outstanding students (3 from BCLS) to be part of this class working in three separate teams. If interested, please submit a resume and cover letter to gregory.stoller.1[at]bc.edu by no later than April 7, 2008. Language fluency is *not* a prerequisite for this course. We are starting the planning process now, as we hope to choose the projects, in part, based around the students' academic and professiona!
l backgrounds. Of course, if you have any questions beforehand, please let Professor Stoller know via email or telephone (617.233.5666).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE NOTE: The bulletin board outside the APALSA office is being updated on a semi-regular basis with job postings, applications for fellowships, Asian-American interest materials and other information (like the postings listed below). Feel free to stop by and check it out!

These could be valuable resources for those interested in seeking employment in the Bay Area for the summer.
