Foley Resume Workshop TONIGHT

Hi All,

I just got word from the Director of Recruiting at Foley that there has not been a large response by BC students for this upcoming event.
Foley is very committed to BC and is also committed to increasing the numbers of persons of color in law firms. The current chairman of the BLG is a partner from Foley.

Please make every effort to attend this event. Not only is it a wonderful opportunity to get your resume ready for the fall recruiting season and for the BLG's fall job fair, it is also an opportunity to meet other students of color as well as lawyers of color.

I look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Please rsvp to hiring@foleyhoag.com. (Don't worry about the deadline just RSVP) and please spread the words to your friends.

Kanasha

Minority Survey of Law Student Experience
Dear APALSA:
I am writing to announce the launch of the second annual Law School Minority Report Survey of Law Student Experience! As some of you might know, the Law School Minority Report is a web site devoted to assisting minority law school applicants with the application process, featuring a unique, school-by-school Minority Report about law schools, based on a survey of minority law students across the country. Last year, approximately 3,000 students from approximately 170 law schools completed our survey, and based on those results, we compiled our first Report, available on our site, at www.lawschoolminorityreport.com.
With lawfirms sponsors including the international firms Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Cleary Gottlieb, our site is quickly becoming the source of information concerning minority student issues at law schools.
To ensure your school and group is included this year, please take the survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=843013268446
Thank you for your time and participation.

Conversation in Shades Rescheduled!

Hello BC Law community,

Due to the weather, our first discussion had to be rescheduled to:
Wednesday, March 7th at 4:30 PM in EW 115B.

Again, the topics of discussion will be: Do race and class factor into a BC student's study of the law? Do race and class play a significant role in law student interactions on campus?

Professor Mark Brodin will introduce the topics and speakers. Students will then present their papers, and Prof. Brodin will moderate a discussion following the presentations.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,
-Conversation in Shades Committee

Conversation in Shades is a student-run organization dedicated to the diversity of thought. Our mission is to inspire intelligent and respectful discussion by providing a forum that welcomes the varying shades of view on controversial issues. By initiating discussions of these issues, our goal is to foster understanding and development in the BC Law School community. We will be convening three talks on related topics this semester.
