General Body Meeting Tomorrow!

The nominations are in!!! Please join us for the elections of the 2007-2008 APALSA Executive Board on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 12:15 in room 115B.
At the meeting, each candidate will be giving a short speech and answer questions from the membership. Voting will take place at the end of the meeting after the speeches and Question and Answer section is completed.
YOU MUST ATTEND THE MEETING TO VOTE.

There will not be absentee voting or any other method of voting. In order to make this election process as accessible to everyone as possible, it has been scheduled during the common lunch time.

Please note that voting is open to APALSA members only. If you are getting APALSA emails, you are a member. Non-members are not eligible to vote.

BLG Mock Interview Program

The Immigration Raid in New Bedford has had a significant impact on hundreds of families. LALSA will be tabling in the cafeteria this week to give out information, sign-up volunteers and to fundraise. The fundraising will go towards "The New Bedford Immigrant Families/ NiƱos Fund". At our next Brown Bag Lunch, APALSA will host Zenobia Lai of the Greater Boston Legal Services' Asian Outreach Unit. Zenobia will be speaking about her public interest and community lawyering experiences in Boston's Asian American community.

Summer Job Opportunity

Attn: 1Ls and 2Ls:

There is an internship position available for this summer with Banc of America Investment Services and Bingham McCutchen LLP. The intern will spend half the summer at Banc of America Investment Services (Boston or New York office) and half at Bingham in New York.

While at Bingham the intern, among other things, will probably participate in the firm's summer moot court program. At Banc of America Investment Services the legal intern will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal memoranda, participating in conference calls and reviewing selling agreements.
